Module Overview

In this module, we will discuss how to utilize various Canvas tools to help support CBE success. Tools will include Canvas Outcomes, Canvas Mastery Paths, and Canvas Learning Mastery Gradebook.

Module Competencies

Upon completion of this module, the learner should be able to:

Modify course materials and Canvas content to meet the diverse learning needs of students pursuing competency-based education.
Implement grading practices within Canvas that accurately reflect students' mastery of competencies, including using rubrics and outcomes.
Explain the concept of mastery paths and apply them to create personalized learning journeys for students based on their mastery of predefined competencies.
Utilize Canvas's module requirements feature to structure and sequence course content in alignment with competency-based learning objectives.
Demonstrate the ability to articulate clear and measurable learning outcomes aligned with course and program competencies using Canvas's Learning Mastery Gradebook.
